1. Who handles your data
The data controller is Ettore Bauchensky, web designer, VAT number IT05520040287, Padua (Italy). For any privacy question you can write to e.bauchensky@gmail.com.
2. What data I process and why
a) Enquiries and the “Let's start” form
If you write to me or fill in the form, I process the data you provide (name, business name, phone number, email and information about your business) to reply, prepare a proposal and, if you decide to go ahead, deliver the service.
Legal basis: pre-contractual measures and performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
b) Clients
If you become a client, I process the data needed for invoicing and tax and accounting obligations.
Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
c) Business contacts from public sources
I sometimes find businesses without a website through public listings (for example Google Maps) and use the business name and published phone number to send a single proposal, together with a free preview of the website. If you are not interested or ask me not to contact you, I delete your data and won't write to you again. If I receive no reply, I delete it within 3 months.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in offering my services (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
d) Technical browsing data
When you visit the site, the hosting service automatically logs some technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, date and time) needed for the site to work and stay secure.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Cookies
This site does not use profiling, marketing or analytics cookies, nor third-party cookies. That is why no consent banner is shown.
4. Who I share data with
I do not sell or hand over your data. To run the site and my work I rely on a few providers, who process data only on my behalf:
- website hosting: Netlify, Inc.;
- contact form handling: Netlify, Inc. (Netlify Forms);
- email: Google (Gmail);
- WhatsApp (Meta), only if you choose to message me there;
- my accountant, for tax obligations.
Some of these providers are based in the United States. In those cases the transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
5. How long I keep data
- Enquiries that do not lead to a project: 12 months.
- Client data and tax documents: 10 years, as required by law.
- Business contacts from public sources with no reply: 3 months.
- Technical browsing data: for the period set by the hosting provider.
6. Your rights
You can ask me at any time to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its use or receive a copy of it, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest, including business contacts. Just write to e.bauchensky@gmail.com.
If you believe your data is not handled correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).
7. Other information
Providing your data is optional, but without the required form fields I cannot reply or prepare a proposal. I do not make automated decisions based on your data.
